Job summary

Nautilus International Holding Corporation seeks an Operations Manager I to lead vessel and rail operations at the Grays Harbor terminal. You’ll supervise ILWU labor, coordinate loading/unloading, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The role reports to the Sr.

Operations Manager and requires strong planning and stakeholder communication. This position offers day and night shifts, weekend coverage, and a competitive salary with a $5,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience: 3–5+ years in terminal/operations supervision.
• Licenses: valid driver’s license and TWIC eligibility.
• Knowledge: terminal equipment operations and MS Excel proficiency.
• Skills: ability to direct union labor and manage grievances.

Responsibilities

• Direct cargo-handling operations and labor allocations on shifts.
• Manage daily work assignments for ILWU labor with accountability.
• Coordinate vessel and rail operations for timely loading/unloading.
• Prepare shift reports, notes, and records by end of shift.
• Engage with customers, agents, and port staff for effective execution.
• Ensure compliance with safety, PMA, and regulatory requirements.
