FenixHire is assisting a well-established eye care practice in Houston, TX to recruit a full-time Optometrist (OD). The role focuses on patient-centered eye care with robust diagnostic support and a strong patient base.

You will perform exams, prescribe lenses, and participate in medical eye care within state guidelines, while enjoying a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited program.
• Active optometry license in the applicable state or eligible to obtain one.
• Strong clinical knowledge and patient communication skills.
• Ability to provide comprehensive and compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose vision conditions and eye diseases.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and, where permitted by state regulations, provide therapeutic treatments.
• Identify potential signs of systemic health conditions through comprehensive eye evaluations.
• Educate patients on eye health, corrective lens options, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records using the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
