Job summary

FenixHire in San Diego, CA is seeking a full-time Optometrist (OD) to join a well-established eye care practice that provides comprehensive services with modern diagnostic equipment and an established patient base.

Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited optometry program.
• Active optometry license in the applicable state or eligibility to obtain one.
• Strong clinical knowledge and patient communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and diagnose vision conditions and eye diseases.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and, where permitted by state regulations, provide therapeutic treatments.
• Identify potential signs of systemic health conditions through comprehensive eye evaluations.
• Educate patients on eye health, corrective lens options, and preventive care.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records using the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
