Job summary

Qualifications

• Active Sign Language Interpreter license required.

Step into a rewarding position as a contract Sign Language Interpreter supporting a bright and engaged 9th grade student progressing academically and socially at a local high school near Houston, TX. This onsite opportunity is available Fridays only for 6.5 hours per week, continuing through May 27, 2027.

Utilize your expertise in American Sign Language to facilitate communication, empower learning, and ensure full access to academic and extracurricular experiences. The student youll support is thrivingparticipating in school theater, advancing in reading, forming friendships, and navigating the challenges of Algebra I. Your skills will help foster continued growth and inclusion as he engages with teachers and peers using his cochlear implant and assistive listening devices.

Qualifications:

• Current, active Sign Language Interpreter license required
• Proficiency in American Sign Language
• Experience supporting students in academic settings preferred
• Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
• Professionalism and the ability to collaborate with teachers, staff, and students
