Job summary

Soliant Health is seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter to support high school students in a dynamic educational setting. The contract runs ASAP through May 27, 2027, at 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday, aligned with the school calendar.

You will collaborate with teachers and special education staff, prepare for classes and events, and maintain FERPA-compliant records while supporting student access and success throughout the school year.

Qualifications

• Proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter for high school-aged students (ASL interpretation)
• EIPA score of 4.0 (performance) and written exam required; must appear on the Louisiana Interpreter Registry
• RID and NIC certification accepted if EIPA written is held
• Commitment to fingerprinting and drug screening in addition to standard credentialing
• Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and work across school sites
• Strong communication skills and professionalism to support student success

• Proficiency as a Sign Language Interpreter for high school-aged students
• EIPA score of 4.0 (performance) and written exam required; must appear on the Louisiana Interpreter Registry (LCDC Interpreter Registry - Dept. of Health)
• RID and NIC certification accepted, provided you also hold the EIPA written
• Commitment to complete fingerprinting and drug screening, in addition to standard credentialing process
• Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and work effectively across one or more school sites (exact assignments TBD)
• Strong communication skills, professionalism, and a genuine desire to support students’ educational journeys
