Bring your expertise as a Sign Language Interpreter to a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students near Gainesville, GA! This position offers the chance to make a lasting impact in an educational setting, working closely with students on a 1:1 basis. Youll split your time between dedicated support at Alliance Academy and floating to provide coverage as needed, ensuring all students receive the communication access they deserve.

Key Qualifications

• Hold an active GA DOE SLI Licensecandidates must have this credential ready for presentation
• Demonstrated proficiency in American Sign Language, with prior experience interpreting in educational settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism
• Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and student needs
• Commitment to maintaining student confidentiality at all times

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct interpretation services onsite for students and staff, facilitating communication and participation in classroom and school activities
• Adjust interpreting methods and modalities to best serve student comprehension and engagement
• Collaborate with educational teams, including teachers and support staff, to ensure seamless inclusion and support for Deaf or hard-of-hearing students
• Maintain accurate documentation of interpreting services in accordance with district policies
• Flex between assigned part-time caseload at Alliance Academy and floating to other locations as scheduled

Youll be working full time during school hours, with your contract extending through May 27, 2027. Start date is as soon as possible, allowing you to quickly become a valued resource within the school community.
