Qualifications

• GA DOE SLI License must be presented at interview.

• Ability to adapt between a fixed location and floating assignments is essential.
• Clear, effective communication with students, staff, and families is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one sign language interpretation for students in classroom and campus activities.
• Collaborate with educational teams to adjust to students changing needs.
• Ensure accurate, confidential interpretation in academic and extracurricular contexts.
• Support the academic and social development of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Adjust quickly to floating interpreter assignments when needed.

This role is designed for professionals committed to facilitating inclusive learning environments. Youll primarily offer one-to-one interpreting services on-site, divided between dedicated time at Alliance Academy and flexible floating assignments as needed. The assignment begins as soon as possible and extends through May 27th, 2027.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Hold a valid GA DOE SLI License, ready to present at interview
• Proven skills as a Sign Language Interpreter within school settings
• Ability to adapt between a set location and floating assignments
• Dedication to clear, effective communication with students, staff, and families
• Professionalism, reliability, and a collaborative spirit are essential

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one sign language interpreting for students, fostering their participation in classroom and campus activities
• Collaborate with educational teams to adapt to students changing needs
