Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a Sign Language Interpreter for a school-based position in Lexington, SC for the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll provide interpreting services in American Sign Language (ASL) throughout the school day.

This role is ideal for either experienced school ASL interpreters or those new to the school setting. This full-time role offers competitive pay up to $50/hour, liability insurance, healthcare benefits, and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Proof of EIPA score of 3.5 or higher.
• Proof of Written EIPA test - passing score.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct one-on-one interpretation in ASL for a student throughout the school day.
• Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff.
• Support access to curriculum and social interactions in the classroom.
• Collaborate with the student’s educational team.
