Ampersand Therapy is hiring Sign Language Interpreters for a school-based position in Lexington, SC for the 2026-2027 School Year. You’ll support students by providing interpreting services in American Sign Language throughout the school day.

This role is ideal for experienced school ASL interpreters or those new to the school setting. Competitive pay up to $50/hour with flexible schedules, and W-2 employment with liability insurance included.

Qualifications

• ASL interpretation skills and clear communication.
• EIPA video/written score required.
• Experience in school setting is a plus or willingness to work in schools.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct one-on-one interpretation in ASL for a student during the school day.
• Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff.
• Support access to curriculum and classroom social interactions.
• Collaborate with the student’s educational team.
