Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is seeking a full-time Sign Language Interpreter for a school-based role in Georgia. The position offers a competitive salary and strong benefits package, including Health, Dental, & Vision Insurance with company contribution and an IRA with company matching.

• Hold an EIPA score of 3.5 or better.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate sign language interpretation between school staff, students, and families to ensure clear understanding of academic, behavioral, medical, and logistical information.
• Interpret during a variety of critical interactions, including parent-teacher conferences, IEP meetings, enrollment and registration processes, and disciplinary or counseling sessions.
• Translate school documents to ensure all families are informed and included.
• Help students navigate classroom expectations and school services, ensuring language is not a barrier to learning and participation.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and school counselors to create an accessible and inclusive educational environment for French-speaking students and families.

Sign Language Interpreter Responsibilities:

Bridging Communication:
Facilitate sign language interpretation between school staff, students, and families to ensure clear understanding of academic, behavioral, medical, and logistical information.
