Job summary

Sorenson Communications, LLC is actively seeking a bilingual ASL–English specialist to review ASL content, transcribe to English, and annotate video data with linguistic labels. You will support the development of a robust sign language dictionary and validate AI-generated outputs for accuracy and cultural relevance.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 2 years of professional ASL experience, familiarity with ELAN/CVAT, and the ability to collaborate with engineering and research teams in a

Qualifications

• Bilingual in ASL and English; produce quality English transcriptions from ASL content.
• Strong knowledge of ASL linguistics, gloss conventions, and non-manual markers.
• Experience producing, translating, or quality-assuring captioned ASL content.

Responsibilities

• Review ASL content for training applicability.
• Transcribe ASL content to English.
• Annotate sign language video content with linguistic labels and metadata.
• Help build/refine the team’s sign language dictionary.
• Validate AI-generated sign output for linguistic correctness, naturalness, and cultural appropriateness.
• Provide sign-language consultation to other Sorenson teams as needed.
