Job summary

Admiral Wholesale Signs is seeking a detail-oriented Sign Estimator to translate drawings and specifications into accurate, competitive quotes for custom fabricated signage.

You will review drawings, prepare material and labor estimates, and collaborate with Sales, Design and Production to determine efficient fabrication methods while maintaining timely quotes. This full-time role requires strong math and communication skills and comfort with estimating software, including Cyrious Control.

Qualifications

Job description

Admiral Wholesale Signs is looking for a detail-oriented Sign Estimator to join our team. We are a wholesale sign manufacturer serving sign companies across the country, and we are looking for someone who understands how signs are built and can turn drawings and specifications into accurate, competitive quotes.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Review customer drawings, artwork, specifications and quote requests.
• Prepare accurate material and labor estimates for custom fabricated signage.
• Estimate channel letters, illuminated cabinets, monument and pylon signs, routed and dimensional signage, sign faces and other custom fabricated sign projects.
• Calculate material quantities, fabrication labor, electrical components, finishing and other production costs.
• Obtain vendor pricing when required and identify missing information needed to complete quotes.
• Prepare clear, professional quotes in a timely manner and manage multiple quote requests and deadlines.
• Work with Sales, Design and Production to determine efficient fabrication methods and maintain accurate job information.
• Help identify value-engineering opportunities and alternative fabrication methods when appropriate.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate has experience in the sign industry, custom fabrication or a related manufacturing environment and understands how fabricated signs are constructed.

• Previous sign estimating experience preferred.
• Knowledge of channel letters, illuminated signage, sign cabinets, monuments, pylons and custom fabricated signs.
• Understanding of aluminum, steel, acrylic, polycarbonate, LEDs, vinyl, paint and other common sign materials.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, dimensions, specifications and customer artwork.
• Understanding of fabrication processes including routing, welding, forming, painting, assembly and electrical components.
• Strong math, analytical, organizational and communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Comfortable working with computers, estimating software and Microsoft 365.
• Experience with Cyrious Control is a plus.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who can look at a sign drawing and understand how we're going to build it and what it will take to build it correctly.

Remote positions may be available for applicants that have sign estimating experience.

This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) plus overtime as needed.
