Job summary

Parvin-Clauss Sign Company is seeking an experienced signs estimator to evaluate project costs and communicate competitive advantages during bidding. You will review plans, prepare detailed cost estimates, and review vendor pricing to manage risks and maximize profitability.

The role requires 3+ years in estimating, strong math, and proficiency with Excel and estimating/ERP software. You will collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Design, Production and Installation to improve future

Qualifications

• 3+ years of estimating experience, preferably in the sign industry, construction or custom manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of commercial signage and sign manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and understand architectural drawings, specifications, elevations, and details.
• Knowledge of a variety of sign materials
• Understanding of fabrication and installation methods.
• Strong math and measurement skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating/ERP software.
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a variety of departments.

• Calculate material, fabrication labor, installation labor, freight, engineering, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Obtain and review vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Identify scope gaps, project risks, and potential additional costs.
• Review installation requirements, site conditions, access, lifts, cranes, electrical requirements, and other field requirements.
• Prepare pricing for proposals, alternates, and change orders.
• Work closely with Sales, Project Management, Design, Production and Installation.
• Review completed projects and use actual costs to improve future estimates
