Job summary

NSA is seeking linguists (MDLAs) to support SIGINT missions, with opportunities to join the Language Analysis Development Program (LADP) or direct hire into analytic offices. The role emphasizes translating, transcribing, and analyzing foreign language materials, while engaging with IC partners and customers across missions.

The LADP lasts up to three years, offering diverse operational tours, formal training, and exposure to two SIGINT disciplines.

Qualifications

• ILR level 2/2 in reading and listening for the target language.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in language work or related fields (e.g., intelligence analysis, international relations, security studies, journalism, etc.).
• Entry/Developmental to Senior levels require progressively more experience as outlined in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, translate, transcribe foreign language materials.
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts.
• Develop analytic insights from large, disparate data sources.
• Produce written and oral assessments for policymakers and leaders.
• Collaborate with NSA and IC analysts on research and reporting.
