Job summary

CNSS • National Security Systems is seeking Linguists (MDLAs) to support NSA’s SIGINT mission through language analysis, transcription, and translation. The LADP or direct hire tracks offer rapid development in a high-stakes analytic environment.

Applicants must meet ILR 2/2 proficiency and have relevant experience; a degree in any field suffices. The program includes varied operational tours and extensive training within a security-cleared setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum ILR 2/2 reading and listening in the target language.
• At least 1 year of relevant language or related experience.
• For Full Performance and Senior levels, leadership experience may be counted.
• Entry to Senior levels depends on education and experience requirements.

Responsibilities

• Offer policymakers and leaders insights by analyzing, transcribing, and translating key information.
• Research cultures and geopolitical contexts relevant to NSA SIGINT missions.
• Apply new techniques to synthesize large data sets and disparate sources.
• Demonstrate understanding of communications and technology trends.
• Craft written and oral assessments with unique insights for intelligence.
• Collaborate within NSA and with IC partners on research, analysis, and reporting.
