Job summary

Are you passionate about applying foreign language skills to NSA’s SIGINT mission? NSA’s Multidisciplined Language Analysts (MDLAs) work across offices and tours, analyzing and translating foreign language materials to support analytic objectives.

LADP offers intense, accelerated development with multiple operational tours and classroom training. LADP and direct-hire paths depend on skill, with language proficiency prioritized alongside analytical capabilities.

Qualifications

• A degree in any field is acceptable.
• Minimum ILR level 2/2 reading and listening in the target language.
• At least one year of relevant experience in language work or related fields.
• Leadership experience may be required for Full Performance and Senior levels.
• For entry, developmental, or senior levels, specific education/experience combinations are outlined in the posting.

Responsibilities

• Offer policymakers and leaders insights by analyzing, transcribing, and translating key information.
• Research languages and cultures to understand geopolitical contexts.
• Apply new techniques to synthesize large data volumes and disparate sources.
• Demonstrate understanding of communications and technology trends.
• Craft written and oral assessments with unique insights for NSA SIGINT.
• Collaborate across NSA and with other IC analysts in research, analysis, and reporting.
