Job summary
E-Space in Arlington, TX is seeking a PLC Programmer/Controls and Power Systems Engineer to modify, troubleshoot, and improve Siemens-based control systems on advanced thin-film manufacturing equipment. You will work with OEMs and process engineers to enhance reliability, safety, throughput, and closed-loop feedback.
Required: a BS or technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or Mechatronics and at least 5 years of hands-on PLC experience in industry, plus familiarity with
Qualifications
- BS or technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with PLCs in an industrial environment.
- Strong hands-on experience modifying and troubleshooting existing PLC code.
Responsibilities
- Modify, debug, and optimize PLC programs on existing production equipment, primarily Siemens-based systems.
- Work with OEMs to implement fixes, upgrades, and functional improvements.
- Support commissioning, re-commissioning, and acceptance of modified machines.
- Improve machine reliability, uptime, and process stability through control system enhancements.
- Develop PLC logic for a unique R2R machine with new features and performance improvements.
