Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a skilled PLC Programmer to design, implement, and support industrial automation systems in our U.S. manufacturing environments.

You will develop control logic for Allen Bradley and Siemens platforms, configure AVEVA SCADA, and ensure reliable operations through troubleshooting, testing, and documentation. Collaboration with engineering, maintenance, and operations is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Automation Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience programming and supporting Allen Bradley ControlLogix/CompactLogix and Siemens S7/TIA Portal systems.
• Experience with AVEVA SCADA platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and implement PLC-based automation solutions to meet requirements.
• Develop control system architectures, specifications, and programming standards.
• Configure and integrate automation hardware, software, and network components.
• Program, troubleshoot, modify, and optimize PLC applications using Rockwell and Siemens platforms.
• Diagnose and resolve issues in PLC, HMI, network, and field device communications.
• Develop new PLC code and enhance existing applications for performance and reliability.
• Design, configure, and support AVEVA SCADA for monitoring and visualization.
• Integrate PLCs, SCADA, databases, and third-party equipment for seamless operation.
• Perform system testing, commissioning, validation, and startup activities.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation.
