Qualifications

• 5–10 years of CNC programming experience in milling.
• Experience in a job-shop, prototype, or high-mix/low-volume environment.
• Advanced proficiency with Siemens NX CAD/CAM software.
• Expert-level programming for 3-axis, 4-axis, and multi-axis mill-turn equipment.
• Strong tooling selection, speeds/feeds, and toolpath optimization knowledge.
• Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD models.
• Solid understanding of machining processes and shop mathematics.
• Good communication and cross-department collaboration.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis mills and mill-turn machines using Siemens NX.
• Program prototype, one-off, and low-volume components from drawings and CAD models.
• Develop machining strategies for billets, weldments, and assemblies.
• Analyze orders and specifications to determine tooling, work holding, and cutting parameters.
• Support during program prove-outs and first-piece production.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions.
• Conduct simulations and verify toolpaths for accuracy and machine performance.
• Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and manufacturing staff to improve manufacturability and quality.
