Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• One year of clinical experience e.g., home care, outpatient, acute care (hospital preferred) technician experience during the most recent two years in a setting relevant to the unit; volunteer work as EMT or CRT may be considered.
• BLS CPR certification required: AHA, Red Cross, or Military Training Network accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide highly skilled, patient- and family-centered care as a contributing member of the healthcare team.
• Ongoing education is provided to all Patient Care Technicians to ensure that all techs perform at the highest level of their certification and scope of practice.
