Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Nursing Associate to support the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) with administrative and basic patient care duties. You will work under supervision, assist with admissions/discharges and help maintain a safe, efficient unit environment.

The role requires strong customer service, communication and organizational skills, plus knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer use. Evening, night or weekend shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides administrative, clerical and patient care support on inpatient nursing units.
• Transcribes vitals, EKGs, and other data into the electronic medical record as directed.
• Assists with admissions, discharges and transfers to optimize patient flow.
• Maintains patient safety and infection control practices per policy.
• Supports unit operations, inventory, and communications with staff and physicians.
