Job summary

DHR Health in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant/Unit Clerk (FT, Days) to support the nursing team in the SICU. Under RN supervision, you will assist with direct patient care, help by transcribing orders, and maintain charts and supplies to ensure a safe, clean unit.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, current CNA/PCT and BLS/CPR certification, and good English communication. Previous hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or G.E.D. certificate required.
• Current CNA or PCT certification required.
• Current BLS/CPR certification required.
• Must read, write and speak English.
• Ability to communicate clearly with nursing, administration, and physicians
• Experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answers phones and routes calls appropriately.
• Ensures patient equipment and supplies are available and functional.
• Supports unit operations and helps the CNA team during staffing shortages.
