Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking a student or recent graduate to serve as an SI Leader for selected courses in East Chicago, Indiana. You will attend classes, take notes, and model effective study strategies to help peers succeed.

Responsibilities include participating in SI Leader Training, conducting group study sessions, collaborating with faculty, and collecting data for program evaluation. This part-time role offers an hourly wage and benefits appropriate for staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Some college coursework required.
• Must be making, or have achieved, Satisfactory Academic Progress; must have a grade of A or B in the targeted class.
• Must have a desire and ability to perform work in the employment position assigned.
• Must be able to maintain the confidentiality and private nature of information and coursework materials.
• Position requires sensitivity to diverse backgrounds of students and employees.
• Fully supports the College's mission and strategic plan initiatives.
• Background checks will be conducted.
