Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College is seeking an SI Leader for an in-person role based in Gary, Indiana. The SI Leader attends the same class daily, models effective study habits, and shares strategies with students to help them learn the course material.

This part-time position (up to 28 hours per week) requires a high school diploma or GED and some college coursework. Competitive benefits include vision care, an Employee Assistance Program, and retirement plan contributions.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Some college coursework required.
• Must have a satisfactory academic progress; Must have a grade of A or B in the targeted class.
• Must have a desire and ability to perform work in the employment position assigned.
• Must be able to maintain the confidentiality and private nature of information and coursework materials.
• Position requires sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of the College's students and employees.
• Fully supports the College’s mission and strategic plan initiatives.
• Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome.
