Overview
At Benchmark, you will prepare products for systems‑level assembly, including unpacking, set‑up assembly, final packaging, and repair as required. This role involves working in a safety‑sensitive environment.
Responsibilities
- Access appropriate paperwork and drawings for each job assignment.
- Verify kits, enter batch lot information, package and label accessory items as documented.
- Use appropriate mats and tooling, and check equipment for proper performance.
- Follow manufacturing routings and process instructions under close or moderate supervision.
- Assemble a variety of systems integration subassemblies and perform hand soldering and inspection operations.
- Notify leadership of shutdown situations and enter data into Process Feedback System (PFS).
- Link subassemblies to final units and record quantities in Operations Complete (Baan) when required.
- Ensure quality of work meets or exceeds customer satisfaction.
- Mentor and assist less qualified operators and other co‑workers in assembly activities.
- Perform final inspection of units, ensuring no visible defects, wiping down units, and adding user manuals, accessory packs, cables, labels, etc.
- Assist manufacturing engineering with basic prototype and pre‑production builds.
Qualifications
- 1+ years of basic systems integration assembly experience.
- Good component recognition skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Effective interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism when representing the company.
- Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to work with diverse groups.
- Participation in continuous improvement activities.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic math.
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
Location & Schedule
Rochester, MN. Shift 2 (M‑Th 1545–0130) Full Time.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation Range: $17.83 to $19.78 USD, plus shift differential. Benchmark provides a comprehensive benefits package, including a bonus plan, 401(k), paid time off, and health, dental, and vision insurance.
