Job summary

Benchmark Electronics Inc is seeking a skilled assembler to prepare systems level assemblies, unpacking, set-up, final packaging and repair as required. You will follow paperwork and routings to assemble subassemblies and ensure quality.

This role requires attention to detail, basic math, and strong teamwork. You will use PFS and Baan data entry, perform tests and repairs under supervision, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives in a safety‑sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; 2+ years of SI experience
• Ability to perform repair or test; some heavy mechanical assembly
• Demonstrate good component recognition skills
• Understanding of basic computer skills
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Demonstrate high attention to detail
• Demonstrate discretion, confidentiality and professionalism when representing the company
• Ability to support a 24/7 global business operation as required
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Ability to work with diverse groups
• Participate in continuous improvement activities
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math

Responsibilities

• Accesses the appropriate paperwork and necessary drawings for each job assignment
• Verifies kits, enters batch lot information, packages and labels accessory items according to documented instructions
• Uses appropriate mats and all required tooling
• Checks equipment (torque wrenches, screwdrivers, etc.) to ensure proper performance
• Uses manufacturing routings and process instructions under close supervision
• MAY assemble a variety of systems integration subassemblies
• Notifies leadership of any shutdown situations
• Enters data into Process Feedback System (PFS) and links subassemblies to final units
• Enters quantities into Operations Complete (Baan) when required
• All employees are responsible for the quality of their work to ensure BEI meets, or exceeds Customer Satisfaction
• Disassembles, repairs and reassembles units in certified repair operations
• Uses manufacturing routings and process instructions under minimal supervision
