Job summary

WeDriveU in Boston, MA is seeking a Transit Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation across campus and community routes. You may operate sedans, shuttles, paratransit vans, or buses, with a strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

As a Driver Trainee progressing to Driver, you will complete required training, pass screenings, and meet state licensing requirements while delivering excellent service and maintaining vehicle readiness.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain required state licenses
• Extensive knowledge of traffic rules and regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and assist passengers when necessary

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and reliable transportation service to passengers operating position-specific vehicles
• Reports maintenance problems and ensures vehicle readiness
• Maintains on-time performance and professional appearance
• Assists passengers during evacuation in emergencies
• Completes required paperwork and communicates with appropriate personnel
• Promotes company goodwill and cooperates with colleagues and customers
