Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. is seeking a shuttle driver to meet and greet customers, operate shuttles, and provide excellent service in Wheeling, WV. This on-site role requires safe driving, strong communication, and adherence to traffic laws and company policy.

Responsibilities include pre-trip checks, operating wheelchair lifts, following routes, reporting incidents, and updating passenger records. A valid driver's license is required, with preferred High School Diploma and 3 years of driving

Responsibilities

• Prepares shuttle for the day’s run, checking fluid and operation.
• Follows all traffic laws and uses hands-free device for dispatch calls.
• Report accidents, incidents, or suspicious activity immediately to supervisor.
• If problematic situations arise, contact supervisor immediately.
• Follows designated route and loading/unloading guidelines.
• Maintains shuttle interior and exterior during non-peak hours.
• Notifies supervisor of mechanical issues.
• Communicates with other drivers via radio.
• Updates passenger documentation at destinations.
• Reports vehicle issues to Security Dispatcher immediately.
• Operates the wheelchair lift on handicap-equipped shuttles.
