Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking a Shuttle/Valet Attendant in North Canton, OH. Qualifications

• Education/Experience: Less than High School education or one month related experience, training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• License: Valid state driver’s license with current address and acceptable driving record.
• DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
• Availability to Work: Special shift requirements; 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to present information in one‑on‑one situations.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic with American money.
• Appearance: Neat, clean appearance and uniform at all times.
• Physical Demands: Stand, walk, lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performing vehicle inspections, maintaining cleanliness of bus interiors, fueling of buses, logging trip counts and assisting disabled passengers.
• Be at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
• Possess a valid state-issued driver’s license to be carried with driver, at all times, while on duty.
• Maintain acceptable DMV record.
• Assist customers by answering questions or direct to the Facility Manager as needed.
• Report accidents or safety concerns to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, spills to garage office.
• Substitute for Cashiers or Valets when necessary.
• Be knowledgeable about garage areas, streets, landmarks and freeways.
• Assist customers with luggage or traveling items (e.g., shuttle buses at airports).
• Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.
