Job summary

SP+, a Metropolis company, is seeking a Shuttle Driver DOT to operate shuttle buses safely and efficiently, transporting passengers between locations. You will ensure smooth, courteous service and maintain vehicle readiness while adhering to DOT regulations.

The role requires a CDL with Passenger Endorsement, a DOT medical card, and availability for 3rd shift or weekends. You will interact with customers, assist with luggage, and report incidents as needed.

Responsibilities

An SP+ Shuttle Driver DOT will be responsible for the proper and safe operation of shuttle buses and transporting passengers, ensuring they reach their destination efficiently, safely, and seamlessly.

What You’ll Do

• Go above and beyond to deliver an exceptional client and customer experience guided by the SP+ Promise, including answering questions, offering city directions, and ensuring each interaction is positive.
• Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness of bus interiors, fuel buses, log trip counts, and assist disabled passengers.
• Be at work every scheduled day, on time, and in uniform.
• Possess a valid state‑issued driver’s license and carry it with you while on duty.
• Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
• Report any known accidents, observed or suspected violations of Company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris, water, oil spills, etc., to the garage office.
• Substitute for Cashiers or Valets when authorized.
• Have thorough knowledge of all areas of the garage, major streets, landmarks and freeways in the area to assist customers in seamless transportation experience.
• Assist customers with luggage and other traveling items as needed (e.g., operating shuttle buses at an airport location).
• Assist Facility Manager with other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Education / Experience Required: Less than high school education or one month related experience, training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

License Requirement: Valid CDL Class A, B or C driver’s license with Passenger Endorsement, maintained per DOT regulations.

DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.

Availability to Work: Shift requirements may vary. Availability to work 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.

Language Skills: Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence; present information one‑on‑one to customers and employees.

Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract two‑digit numbers, multiply and divide with tens and hundreds, perform operations using US money units.

Appearance: Maintain a neat and clean appearance and wear complete uniform at all times.

Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to handle cash and equipment; occasionally sit, climb or balance; may lift or move up to 75 lbs.
