Job summary

Erickson Senior Living in Charlestown is seeking a Driver to transport residents, staff, and visitors within our gated retirement community. You will operate buses, vans, and sedans with wheelchair ramps, assist passengers boarding and exiting, and keep vehicles prepared and clean.

Prior transportation experience preferred; valid license and DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate required. The role requires at least 3 years of driving experience and being 21+, with responsibilities including vehicle

Qualifications

  • Previous transportation services experience preferred.
  • Valid State driver’s license; must be maintained.
  • A valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate issued by EHWC (or designated clinic) required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of verifiable driving experience.
  • Must be minimum 21 years of age to drive.
  • Ability to operate vehicles with wheelchair ramps and lifts; road test completion.

Responsibilities

  • Transport residents, staff, and visitors on scheduled and unscheduled appointments.
  • Operate non-CDL passenger buses, vans, and sedans with ramps and lifts.
  • Assist passengers with boarding and off-boarding from vehicles.
  • Prepare vehicles - pre & post-trip inspections, refueling and related tasks.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and log vehicle usage.
  • Log and track vehicle usage.

  • Compensation: commensurate with experience, range $17.00- $19.75
How you will make an impact
  • Transport residents, staff, and visitors on scheduled and unscheduled appointments
  • Operate non-CDL passenger buses, vans, and sedans; vehicles equipped with wheelchair ramps and lifts
  • Assist passengers with boarding and off-boarding from the vehicle
  • Prepare vehicles for usage, including performing pre & post-trip vehicle inspections, refueling, and other related tasks
  • Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles
  • Log and track vehicle usage
What you will need
  • Previous transportation services experience preferred
  • Valid State driver’s license.This license must be maintained as a condition of employment.
  • A valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate issued by EHWC (where applicable), or a designated offsite occupational health clinic. Other Medical Examiner’s Certificates will not be accepted. This certificate must be maintained as a condition of employment.
  • Minimum of 3 years of verifiable driving experience
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age to drive
  • Ability to operate vehicles equipped with wheelchair ramps and lifts, including securement systems. Ability to operate Community vehicles safely; to include non-CDL passenger buses and sedans, demonstrated by successful completion of a road test
