Job summary

SP+ is seeking staff in Portland, ME, to support parking operations. You will perform vehicle inspections, assist customers, and ensure on-time attendance in uniform. A valid state driver’s license and DOT medical card are required, with the ability to work 3rd shift or weekends as needed.

Responsibilities include safety, customer service, and maintaining knowledge of garage areas and local streets. Physical duties may include lifting up to 75 pounds and operating shuttle buses where applicable.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience Required: Less than High School education or one month related experience.
• License Requirement: Required to have and maintain a valid state driver’s license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
• DOT Medical Card: A Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Medical Card) is required.
• Availability to Work: Special shift requirements; 3rd shift and/or weekends may be required.
• Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Mathematical Skills: Add, subtract, and handle dollars and cents.
• Appearance: Maintain a neat, complete uniform at all times.
• Physical Demands: Stand, walk, and handle cash; may lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle inspections and assist disabled passengers.
• Be at work every scheduled day, on time and in uniform.
• Possess a valid state-issued driver’s license.
• Maintain an acceptable DMV record.
• Courteously assist customers and direct to the Facility Manager when needed.
• Report accidents or safety hazards to the Facility Manager.
• Communicate debris or spills to garage office.
• Substitute for cashiers or valets when necessary.
