Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America, Inc. in Batavia, IL is seeking a truck driver to transport products between the production plant and the distribution center and to move packaging materials as needed.

You will unload pallets with an electric pallet jack, stage items for warehouse staff, and comply with DFA quality, safety, DOT, and GMP policies while attending driver workshops and training sessions. English literacy required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Current CDL Class A license with tanker endorsement.
• DOT requirements met and MVR compliance.

Responsibilities

Job description

General Purpose

Transport products from the production plant to the distribution center and packaging material/ingredients from the distribution center to the production plant. Unload pallets.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport products from the production plant to the distribution center and packaging material/ingredients from the distribution center to the production plant
• Unload the pallets using an electric pallet jack and stage them for the warehouse staff to store. Packaging materials and ingredients are usually transported by pallets, but occasionally, may hand load single items of packaging material and ingredients
• Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety, DOT, and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity and accidents and injuries
• Attend all driver workshops and training sessions

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Tractor/trailer experience, within the last five years preferred
• Must meet minimum age requirements
• Meet all DOT requirements
• Meet Dairy Farmers of America Motor Vehicle Record requirements
• Certification and/or License – Current CDL (Class A) license in state of residence; current tanker endorsement if needed
