Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a driver at our Batavia, IL facility to move products between plants and distribution centers. You will unload pallets with an electric pallet jack and may hand-load items as needed, while following DFA safety, DOT and GMP policies.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid CDL Class A with tanker endorsement, and the ability to meet DFA motor vehicle record standards.

Responsibilities

• Transport products from the production plant to the distribution center and packaging materials/ingredients from the distribution center to the production plant.
• Unload pallets using an electric pallet jack and stage them for warehouse staff to store; occasionally hand load single items.
• Adhere to DFA Quality, Safety, DOT, and GMP policies and report nonconformities and injuries.
• Attend driver workshops and training sessions.
• Other duties may be assigned as required.

General Purpose

Transport products from the production plant to the distribution center and packaging material/ingredients from the distribution center to the production plant. Unload pallets.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Transport products from the production plant to the distribution center and packaging material/ingredients from the distribution center to the production plant
• Unload the pallets using an electric pallet jack and stage them for the warehouse staff to store. Packaging materials and ingredients are usually transported by pallets, but occasionally, may hand load single items of packaging material and ingredients
• Adhere to all DFA Quality, Safety, DOT, and GMP policies and procedures and report any nonconformity and accidents and injuries
• Attend all driver workshops and training sessions

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Tractor/trailer experience, within the last five years preferred
• Must meet minimum age requirements
• Meet all DOT requirements
• Meet Dairy Farmers of America Motor Vehicle Record requirements
• Certification and/or License - Current CDL (Class A) license in state of residence; current tanker endorsement if needed
