Job summary

Asset Living is seeking a Shuttle Driver to support our communities in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. You will manage daily shuttle transportation and maintain shuttle calendars in alignment with property operations under the Community Manager's supervision.

The role emphasizes reliable onsite presence, safe driving, strong customer service, and adherence to community policies. This is a full-time, on-site position offering total rewards including benefits and 401K with employer matching.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • Basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Shuttle Driver responsible for daily routes between the community and required locations.
  • Maintain daily shuttle schedule and calendar.
  • Communicate maintenance and safety items to the Community Manager.
  • Keep daily logs and report policy violations to the Community Manager.
  • Provide excellent customer service and uphold the community's image.
  • Enforce community policies and support overall property objectives.

SHUTTLE DRIVER

The Shuttle Driver is responsible for daily shuttle transportation for the community. Shuttle Driver is also responsible for the calendar upkeep of shuttles needed for the community in a manner consistent with the property’s operational objectives under the supervision of the Community Manager.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Shuttle Driver
  • Regular/Onsite attendance required
  • Responsible for the shuttle routes from community to required locations daily
  • Responsible for creating and upkeep of daily shuttle schedule
  • Responsible for communicating general maintenance, cleaning, etc. items to the Community Manager
  • Responsible for daily logs as required by Community Manager
  • Report any observed violations of community rules and regulations to the Community Manager
  • Utilize property resources, equipment and supplies economically
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities requested by Community Manager
  • Customer & Resident Relations
  • Manage excellent customer service and monitor service request turnaround and responsiveness
  • Projects a favorable image of the community to achieve property objectives and public recognition
  • Ensure consistency in dealing with residents on all matters
  • Enforce policies of the community that the immediate supervisor delegates
Education/experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.
Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods, communicate with others to exchange information, repeat motions that may include wrists, hands, and/or fingers, assessing the accuracy, assess the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
  • The employee is frequently required to move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another.
  • The employee is occasionally required to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, step stools, and the like, move self into different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces, work in an overhead position and reach, adjust or move objects of up to 25 lbs. in all directions, lift and place objects up to 25 lbs, operate machinery or power tools, operate motor vehicles and/or golf carts, identify and inspect objects, be able to work overtime, weekends, night hours (emergencies) work in small and/or enclosed spaces, traverse flat and non-flat terrain, work in extremely low or high temperatures, work in outdoor environments such as precipitation and wind, be exposed to hazardous chemicals.

Full-time employees also receive paid sick days and company holidays.

Salary Range

$14 per hour to $15 per hour
