Job summary

Propark Mobility in New Haven, CT is seeking CDL Shuttle Drivers for full-time and part-time roles that start immediately. You will drive shuttle buses, greet passengers, and assist with loading and unloading while adhering to safety rules and communicating with dispatch to coordinate routes.

The ideal candidate holds a CDL with passenger endorsements, a valid driver''s license with at least three years of experience, and a DOT medical card.

Qualifications

• Have a valid driver''s license with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• CDL with passenger endorsements (A, B, or C) is required.
• DOT medical card is required.

Responsibilities

• Drives shuttle bus and transports customers to and from the facility.
• Greets passengers and assists with loading and unloading.
• Operates the shuttle in a safe and compliant manner and follows traffic regulations.
• Monitors vehicle condition and records any malfunctions or damages.
• Uses two-way radio to communicate with dispatch and coordinate routes, arrivals, and delays.
• Performs pre/post trip inspections to ensure safe operation.
• Monitors traffic and weather conditions and notifies dispatch of issues.
• Reports accidents or safety situations to dispatch or supervisor.
• Provides courteous, friendly, and professional service to customers.
• Performs other duties as needed by operations.

Propark Mobility is currently hiring Shuttle Drivers for full-time and part-time opportunities to start immediately.

What we're looking for*

• Drives shuttle bus and transports customers to and from the facility.
• Greets passengers and provides assistance with loading and unloading.
• Operates the shuttle bus in a safe and efficient manner and complies with all traffic and safety regulations.
• Monitors vehicle condition and records malfunctioning items or damage on appropriate forms.
• Communicates with dispatchers, drivers and other employees using a two-way radio system to communicate routes, announcing arrivals and delays, coordinating the pick-up of customers, or handling other vehicle or customer issues that arise.
• Conducts pre/post trip inspections of the shuttle buses at the beginning and end of shift to ensure sound operating conditions.
• Monitors traffic and weather conditions and notifies dispatch or supervisor of potential problems.
• Reports accidents or other safety situations to dispatch or supervisor.
• Treats all customers in a courteous, friendly and professional manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on operational needs.

Must haves

• You are at least 18 years old.
• You have a valid driver's license and have been driving for at least 3 years.
• You have the ability to operate a passenger van safely and efficiently
• You have the ability to work flexible hours, evenings, and weekends
• Energetic, outgoing and can stand, run, and carry items, up to 50lbs, if needed.
• Great communicator in both written and spoken language, with a friendly, professional approach to everyone you meet.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment, and can help resolve customer issues in a positive and helpful way.

Good to haves

• Customer service 1 year+
• Experience driving a shuttle bus or commercial vehicle 1 year+

Physical Demands

As part of performing the duties associated with this position, the employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands-to-fingers, handle tools or controls, reach with hands or arms, talk and hear. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25lbs.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this position, the employee may be subjected to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes and airborne particles. The noise level in this work environment can range from minimal to moderate.
