Valor Christian High School is hiring a part-time Shuttle Driver responsible for safely transporting students on established routes. The driver will conduct vehicle inspections, maintain records, and ensure a safe environment for all passengers.
Applicants should possess a growing relationship with Christ and demonstrate servant leadership. The position requires a high school diploma, reliable driving history, and CPR/First Aid certification. Starting pay is $25 per hour, with hours not to exceed 20 per week during school hours.
A Shuttle Driver at Valor Christian High School is responsible for safely transporting students on established routes while following all traffic laws and school transportation policies. This role includes conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring a safe, orderly, and respectful environment for passengers. The driver represents the school positively, communicates effectively with students, families, and staff, and responds calmly to emergencies or unexpected situations. Additional responsibilities include keeping vehicles clean and fueled, reporting mechanical or safety concerns, supporting maintenance needs, tracking route and ridership information, and administering basic first aid when necessary.

Vehicles were kept clean and service‑ready, inspections and records were completed consistently, and communication remained clear and effective while issues were handled calmly and appropriately.
The same basic physical demands described here are the same for all employees to successfully perform the essential functions of their jobs. Employees must periodically lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and could occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral/depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Additionally, must have the ability to sit for extended periods and maintain alertness while driving. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
The work environment characteristics are varied and include in vehicle, on road, street, highway, and parking lots, in office, and outdoor events while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is also varied.

Part‑time - Non Exempt. Not to exceed an average of 20 hours per week (advance approval required for any overtime work required). Frequent after school and evening hours required (approximately 3pm - 5:30pm)
