Responsibilities

  • Drive a multi-passenger van safely along designated routes or loops.
  • Greet riders warmly, answer itinerary questions, and provide local recommendations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety checks on tires, fluids, brakes, and lights.
  • Keep accurate track of arrival and departure times to remain on schedule.
  • Log mileage, fuel consumption, passenger headcounts, and any road incidents.
  • Use radios or dispatch apps to update coordinators on traffic, delays, or emergencies.

Job description

Position Description

This position is responsible for transporting passengers safely andefficiently between Eastern University St. Davids campus and ValleyForge campus. They will serve as a primary face of customerservice, ensuring passengers comfort while strictly adhering to alltraffic safety laws.

The primary objective of a Shuttle Driver is to provide reliable,on-time passenger transit. This role combines professional motorvehicle operation with high-quality hospitality, requiring driversto manage schedules, and perform basic vehicle upkeep.

Position Responsibilities

  • Drive a multi-passenger van safely along designated routes orloops.
  • Greet riders warmly, answer itinerary questions, and providelocal recommendations.
  • Collect passenger’s identification for each rider.
  • Sweep, vacuum, and wipe down the vehicle interior to maintain anexcellent presentation
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety checks on tires, fluids,brakes, and lights.
  • Use radios or mobile dispatch apps to update coordinators ontraffic, delays, or emergency issues.
  • Keep accurate track of arrival and departure times to remainstrictly on schedule.
  • Log mileage, fuel consumption, passenger headcounts, and any roadincidents
  • A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.Any violations impacting the operator’s license will require aself-report to the Department’s Administration within 24 hrs.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and a pre-employmentdrug screening.
  • Willingness to work variable shifts, including early mornings,nights, weekends, and holidays.

Status: Hourly, non-exempt, 16 hours per week, 12 months peryear. Part-time shift: Weekends & evenings based on departmentalneeds.
