Job summary

LAZ Parking is seeking a Valet Shuttle Driver (NON-DOT) in Durham, NC for a full-time role, offering $17.00 per hour with a Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:30 pm schedule and a 30-minute clocked-out break. A valid driver's license with at least two years of driving experience and the ability to pass a DOT physical are required.

As a shuttle driver you will transport staff and vehicles safely in an airport environment, maintain vehicle cleanliness, and deliver excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must have 2+ years of driving experience.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles following safety guidelines and airport regulations.
• Transport staff to designated locations and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Report mechanical or safety concerns and communicate with team members.
• Be in LAZ Parking uniform, on time, and ready to work as scheduled.
• Assist passengers boarding and exiting the vehicle, including ADA passengers.

The Spirit of the Position:

The Valet Shuttle Driver is responsible for effective, efficient and safe transportation of staff and vehicles while maintaining a high standard of customer service in a fast-paced airport environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operating company vehicles in accordance with all safety guidelines, airport regulations, and company policies.
• Transporting staff to designated airport locations, maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle, and reporting any mechanical or safety concerns.
• Promote effective and professional communication with the team members and managers.
• Be in correct LAZ Parking uniform, on time, and ready to work when scheduled.
• Work with and without supervision and follow directions of supervisors when requests are made.
• Other related duties as assigned.
• Safely operating company vehicles.
• GET 100 (Greet, Engage, and Thank the Guest - 100% of the time).
• Assist passengers when boarding and exiting the vehicle including ADA passengers if applicable.
• Effectively communicating and working in a team environment to achieve maximum productivity.
• Demonstrate the ability to work self-sufficiently while performing daily tasks as a professional driver.

Requirements:

• 2 or more years of driving experience.
• Comply with Federal DOT, State Rules/Regulations, and Company Policy.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Ability to successfully perform and pass a DOT physical examination.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays.
• Ability to bend at the knees or squat frequently throughout a shift.
• Willingness to work in inclement weather (rain, sleet, snow, heat, high wind, etc.).

Physical Demands:

• Ability to physically push/pull/lift to 50lbs
