Job summary

J&H Janitorial Company, LLC is seeking a Part-Time Cleaner to perform cleaning and upkeep across multiple Bay Co. area locations, including late-afternoon shifts at various offices.

The Cleaner will work 5 PM – 9 PM, driving between sites as needed, with a per-hour wage of $15.00. Mileage is reimbursed biweekly; background and drug screens are required.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience required.
• Ability to interact professionally with the public.
• Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Able to stand, walk, bend and lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Empty trash and replace can liners.
• Dust, wipe and spot clean furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
• Clean and sanitize fixtures, floors, and restock bathrooms.
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.
• Clean cafeterias or eating areas.
• Follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Communicate irregularities or damage to supervisors.
• Wear company issued shirts and maintain a professional demeanor.

Cleaner is responsible for the following buildings:

• Lynn Haven Tax Collector Office, Monday-Friday after 5:30 PM
• Callaway Tax Collector Office, Monday-Friday after 5 PM
• PCB Tax Collector Office, Monday-Friday after 5 PM
• Medical Examiner's Office, FRIDAY ONLY anytime between 8 AM - 4 PM
• Bay Line Dr. Admin Building, FRIDAY ONLY anytime between 8 AM - 4 PM

Job Summary

The Cleaner performs cleaning and general upkeep of an assigned area.

Job Duties

Cleaners are assigned areas and could perform one or more of the following duties:

• Empty trash and replace can liners
• Dust, wipe and spot clean furniture, fixtures, and equipment
• Clean, sanitize all fixtures, floors, and restock paper and soap supplies in bathrooms
• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
• Clean cafeterias or eating areas
• Any other duties as mandated by the scope of the contract

Cleaners are expected to:

• follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
• communicate effectively any irregularities, equipment or building damage,
• follow security protocols as dictated by the contract
• wear company issued shirts
• maintain a professional and courteous demeanor

Requirements

Basic

• Previous experience in a janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning role is required
• Demonstrated good customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with the public
• A positive attitude and a strong, reliable work ethic
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Must be punctual and dependable
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs for the duration of the shift
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screening

Benefits

Entry Wage: $15.00/Hr

Mileage will be added on a biweekly basis due to shuttling between buildings

Work Schedule: 5 PM - 9 PM
