J and H Janitorial is seeking a Part-Time Cleaner for North Florida College in Madison, FL. The Cleaner performs cleaning and general upkeep of an assigned area.

The position runs 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm with an entry wage of $15.00/hr. Prior janitorial or custodial experience and strong customer service skills are required. You must be punctual, dependable, and able to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25 lbs. Background check and drug screening are required.

Job Summary

Job Duties

Cleaners are assigned areas and could perform one or more of the following duties:

1. Empty trash and replace can liners.


2. Dust, wipe and spot clean furniture, fixtures, and equipment.


3. Clean, sanitize all fixtures, floors, and restock paper and soap supplies in bathrooms.


4. Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors.


5. Clean cafeterias or eating areas.


6. Any other duties as mandated by the scope of the contract.

Cleaners are expected to:

• follow safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment


• communicate effectively any irregularities, equipment or building damage,


• follow security protocols as dictated by the contract.


• wear company issued shirts.


• maintain a professional and courteous demeanor.

• Previous experience in a janitorial, custodial, or commercial cleaning role is required.
