As a Shuttle Bus Driver, your mission is to provide secure transport services across our facilities, ensuring safety for patients, visitors, caregivers, and staff. Your responsibilities include offering friendly interactions, wheelchair assistance, safe transportation, vehicle maintenance, and safety reporting.

Responsibilities include:

• Interacting courteously with passengers
• Providing wheelchair assistance and safe hand-offs
• Ensuring safe, efficient shuttle service following DOT regulations and safety policies
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and presentation
• Monitoring surroundings inside and outside the shuttle
• Reporting suspicious behavior
• Conducting safety inspections and recording deficiencies
• Operating wheelchair lifts and securing passengers and wheelchairs
• Assisting with passenger and luggage loading/unloading
• Recording ridership data

Minimum qualifications:

• Ability to work weekends
• Basic reading and writing skills for maintenance checklists
• Commercial driving training for shuttle buses up to 40 passengers
• Valid CDL with passenger endorsement and less than six points
• Insurance eligibility for Foundation Vehicles
• Five years of driving experience

Preferred qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• Experience with passenger or patient transportation

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform stationary work for extended periods
• Travel within and outside the Cleveland Clinic system
• Communicate accurately
• Lift items up to 50 pounds
• Assist patients, visitors, and caregivers with wheelchairs
• Operate and inspect equipment
• Work in confined spaces and distinguish colors
• CDL drivers must not be color blind
