Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking a Shredder Supervisor to oversee safe and efficient shredding operations in partnership with the General Manager. You will direct daily activities, coordinate maintenance, and supervise staff across multiple shifts to meet production goals.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 3–5 years in shredder operations, and 2+ years of supervisory experience. Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
• Ability and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, PLCs and large motor subsystems understanding.

Responsibilities

• Directs production and maintenance scheduling across multiple shifts to meet goals and minimize downtime.
• Mentors, leads, and trains all shredder personnel.
• Prepares production, operational and maintenance reports.
• Partners with General Manager on shredder budgets and capital expenditures.
• Complete daily inspections and reports.
• Maintains inventory levels to ensure timely availability of parts.
• Back up General Manager with training, EHS audits and inspections, and other duties.
