Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking a Shredder Supervisor to lead safe, efficient shredding operations in collaboration with the General Manager. You will oversee daily shredder activities, coordinate maintenance, and ensure production goals are met across shifts.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, 2+ years supervisory experience, 3–5 years in shredder operations, and a willingness to work outdoors in varying weather. Bilingual is a plus, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred.
• 3–5 years’ shredder operations experience in the scrap metal or related industry.
• 2+ years of shredder supervisory experience.
• Ability and willingness to work in outdoor environments and in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Partners with GM and EHS Manager on shredder operations.
• Directs production and maintenance scheduling across shifts to meet goals and minimize downtime.
• Mentors, leads, and trains shredder personnel.
• Prepares production, operation and maintenance reports as scheduled.
• Partners with GM on shredder budgets and capital expenditures.
• Completes daily inspections and reports.
• Maintains inventory levels for parts and repairs.
• Backs up GM with training, EHS audits, and other duties.
