Job summary

Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV seeks a guest services team member to support events and seating operations. You will maintain a positive attitude with guests and colleagues, listen to inquiries, and relay accurate information on hours, services, and shuttle options.

Responsibilities include guiding guests to seats, coordinating showroom seating, and standing at the podium during events. Flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends, are required to meet business needs.

• Relay accurate information to guests regarding hours of operation, hotel services, restaurants, meeting and convention rooms, airline shuttle service, etc.
• Check guest tickets for seating numbers and direct or escort the guests to their seats.
• Use linens, table toppers, and table numbers to set up showroom seating.
• Stand at podium in re-entry area during events to ensure visibility to guests.
• Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• While performing the duties of this job, the team member is constantly standing, walking, and occasionally reaching overhead, and bending over during the duration of their shift.
• Must be able to lift/carry 10lbs or less frequently.
• The team member will constantly have repetitive use of both feet and hands and require occasional light grasping motions. Finger dexterity of both hands will be frequently required.
• Frequent use of vision abilities is required including distance, depth perception, field of vision, and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Work performed consistently indoors with and around others. Team Member will perform work face-to-face including verbal contact with others on extended shifts around computer equipment and other electrical devices.
