Job summary

Metro Electric Supply in Missouri seeks a friendly, sales‑oriented showroom associate to help customers select lighting and related products. You will read catalogs, answer questions, and process orders while delivering excellent service.

No lighting experience is required; we provide training and incentives. This is a full‑time, hourly role with weekend work and occasional evenings, and compensation starts at $18 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Sell associated products at the showroom.

• Fill customer orders from stock.
• Prepare sales slip and receive payment.
• Mark and store parts in stockroom or area according to system; may take inventory.
• Keep showroom neat and orderly.
• Place new merchandise on display; receive, hang, remove, pack and ship products.

What we do: We assist customers in an unlimited capacity including remodels, whole house lighting, custom lighting design, retail, and corporate layouts; you name it, we do it! We train all of our employees and get them ALA (American Lighting Association) certified, have multiple training events each year to ensure we stay on top of what is new, fresh and current in the industry; all while sticking to our motto of delivering Ultimate Customer Service to every individual who chooses to interact with Metro Lighting.

Compensation Details

The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $18.00 per hour, depending on experience. This position is also incentive eligible, based on specific and relevant business metrics.

Work Shift and Hours

This is a full-time hourly, retail sales position. Shifts vary week to week and include weekends and one possible evening a week (7PM). We strive to have at least one full weekend off each month.
