Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Showroom Sales Associate role based in the Hilton Head Island, South Carolina area. The Showroom Sales Associate is responsible for greeting customers, understanding their needs, and guiding them through fabric, upholstery, and restoration options that match their style, budget, and project goals. Day-to-day tasks include presenting product features and benefits, preparing quotes, processing sales transactions, and coordinating with the upholstery and restoration team to ensure accurate orders and timelines. The role involves maintaining an organized, visually appealing showroom, updating displays and samples, and assisting with basic merchandising and inventory checks. The Showroom Sales Associate also responds to phone and email inquiries, schedules consultations, and provides consistent follow-up to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• Customer service and sales skills, including the ability to build rapport, ask effective questions, and close sales in a showroom or retail environment.
• Knowledge or strong interest in home décor, furniture, textiles, and design, with the ability to help clients coordinate fabrics, finishes, and styles.
• Communication and interpersonal skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and a professional, welcoming demeanor with diverse customers.
• Organization and attention to detail, including accurate order entry, quote preparation, sample management, and follow-through on customer requests.
• Basic computer and point-of-sale skills, such as using email, calendars, and sales or inventory systems to manage orders and appointments.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, move fabric books or small furniture items as needed, and maintain a neat, safe showroom environment.
• Prior experience in retail, showroom sales, interior design, or furniture sales is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in design, textiles, or business is a plus.
• Reliable transportation and availability to work standard retail or showroom hours, including some weekends as needed.
