Job summary

HUDSON CITY CONSULTING LIMITED LIAB is seeking a SHOWROOM SALES ASSOCIATE to greet customers, provide product knowledge, and assist with quotes and orders in a busy showroom environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in sales or customer service, strong communication skills, and comfort recommending architectural products, hardware, kitchen & bath, lighting, cabinetry, millwork or interior design. This temp-to-perm role offers growth potential and competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of sales or showroom or customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with building materials, architectural products, hardware or interior design is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers visiting the showroom and provide a professional customer experience.
• Learn the company’s extensive products and assist customers with product selection and applications.
• Work with contractors, architects, designers, cabinetmakers, builders and homeowners.
• Prepare and follow up on quotes, orders and customer inquiries.
• Develop relationships with existing customers and identify opportunities for additional sales.
• Respond to customer questions by phone, email and in person.
• Maintain accurate customer and sales information in company systems.
• Maintain showroom displays, samples and product areas in a clean and organized manner.
• Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse and other departments to ensure customer needs are met.
• Assist with showroom events, product presentations and other sales activities.
• Follow up on leads and help convert showroom inquiries into sales.
• Stay current on new products, product applications and industry trends.

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5pm

Pay: $20-$25/hr. depending on experience
