Job summary

Northeastern Supply in Harrisonburg, VA is seeking a Showroom Sales Consultant to help customers select plumbing fixtures and related products for kitchens, baths, and rec areas. You will guide clients from product selection through delivery, balancing consultative sales with hands-on project coordination.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while coordinating orders and schedules on a day shift.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years’ work experience as a Design Specialist.
• Strong customer service and/or problem‑solving skills.
• Results‑oriented with a willingness to be accountable for outcomes.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Available to work weekday or weekend overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert product selection assistance, expediting orders from vendors and conducting customer visits as needed.
• Work with customers, contractors, builders, and vendors in planning and product selection.
• Read blueprints to ensure compatibility between the product ordered and customer desires and needs.
• Use consultative sales, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to close the sale.
• Coordinate the ordering, receiving, and delivery of products in a timely manner.
• Schedule deliveries and track customer returns.
• Process and track orders while maintaining communication with all contacts.
• Visit job sites as needed to measure or provide client services.
• Develop long‑term relationships with builders and contractors.
• Assist the Manager with marketing campaigns and special projects.
