Job summary

Cape Electrical Supply in Cape Girardeau, MO is hiring for a Warehouse Associate / Furniture & Lighting Delivery Driver. You will transport furniture and lighting to customers, uncrate and place items in homes, and arrange showroom displays.

Typical duties include safe driving, routing, paperwork, lifting, and operating warehouse equipment. Shift is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm; pay starts at $17.00–$19.00 per hour DOE; CDL not required but you must pass a DOT exam, drug test, and background

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

Safely drive a truck or van to transport materials within a specified area, verify loads against shipping papers, and obtain signed receipts for delivered materials.
Scan each delivery into the system before leaving the warehouse and maintain truck logs according to state and federal regulations.
Determine the best route for timely delivery, record delivery information, inspect truck equipment and supplies, and report deficiencies for safe operation.
Perform physical duties to lift and move inventory, including loading and unloading trucks.
Operate warehouse equipment and follow all safety procedures.
May perform Material Handler duties when not engaged in primary responsibilities.
Promote and maintain good customer relations and identify opportunities for sales.
Communicate customer feedback to management, including complaints and requests.
